Twin Peaks/David Lynch - Genius or Nuts?

Season 1 - brilliant. Season 2 - patchy, though it did pick up in the last couple of episodes.

I thought there were three seasons of Twin Peaks. I seem to remember the first series being brilliant, the second not being so good, and the third season being complete crap.

Overall, I'm not really a fan of David Lynch. I liked Twin Peaks and The Elephant Man, but most of his other stuff is really nightmarish and unpleasant.

Mad genius, in my opinion.

No-one else does it quite like Lynch does; I even enjoyed Inland Empire, although I couldn't even BEGIN to tell you what it was about.

I've been working my way through the Twin Peaks Season 2 box-set over the last year, rationing myself to an episode every now and again because I just don't want it to end again.

I managed to get a copy of his post-Peaks series, "On The Air" last year after years of looking. I watched it at the time, and was always upset that they never repeated it again. It was comical, daft and pure Lynch.

Lynch has released all of the soundtrack music for Twin Peaks, it's not the sort of thing that you just sit and listen to I guess but then Twin Peaks wasn't your average viewing either. Anyway if you fancy the music you can buy the whole lot, 212 tracks (1.3 GB's worth) for a reasonable $9:90 form the lad himself. I have, why not...
