I've met and done work for Angelo Badalamenti (the guy who writes the music for Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks etc) who is very close friends with David Lynch, and he couldn't speak more highly of him if he'd tried.
me neither... but every time i watch a 'great sci-fi films' documentary and Dune gets hailed as one of the greats, I've revisited it... must have seen it 5 or 6 times now and all i see is an underwhelming, overlong sci-fi saga.
Ah memories. Twin Peaks was marks my first experience of 2 21st century things.
Binge watching. We'd taped series one (VHS!), and when series 2 was about to start, we had 20 people over, beer and pizza and TV and watched all of series one together.
Internet spoiler. Before I'd seen a single episode, but knew the central mystery, the internet spoiled it for me. This might have been the post that did it.
