He reached me at the end of this layby and overtook me at the next. If I had known how fast he was going, I would have slowed down. I pulled right over to the left to let him by when he chose to though.
G-Zero: I have no control over your feelings towards me or other people, but everyone else is managing to keep calm. I am not a troll or the like and do not intend to annoy or agrevate people. I come on here looking for advice, not abuse. I can get abuse from people on Facebook or Youtube about videos and what I "did wrong".
I do not ignore other members, I take their advice seriously, but when out on the roads, it is difficult to remember what has been said in certain situations and how to act appropriately.
I have managed to block drivers on single track roads. When I have done so - I usually know very quickly as my ears work.
Once I am aware, if nowhere practical to pull over and wave or thank them, I normally make a genuine effort to crank it up a bit. It is obvious when I do as I normally speed up! Sometimes I actually stand on the pedals so that they know I am doing my best.
(I could normally go faster - I am not talking about life/death sprint here agains Cav)
I have never found a driver to not appreciate the effort and acknowledgment given at the start and obviously the wave of thanks as they then do pass when safe.
If I know the road and there is nowhere to pass for ages, I will indicate and pull over to let them go.
Much as I would in lane 1/2/3 of a motorway in my car or motorbike!
HTH? (I don't think it will unfortunately)
