An old ex-work colleague has recently passed away and his son has been in touch with me asking if I know anyone who may be interested in purchasing one. I thought I'd try here before I suggest he use eBay to reach a wider audience. I've seen both and they're in good condition but I'm not a collector, I'm just your regular road cyclist and they don't appeal to me. If anyone might be interested please drop me a message and I'll get whatever information you need. Both frames would suit someone around 5'10" to maybe 6'1". The bikes are in Eccleshall, Staffordshire, not far from Stafford/Stone. Both are complete bikes but have had straight bars fitted.

I had the BAR model back in the late 60's. It was a great ride, but had 26" pressures, steel handle bars, steel chainset, with a front "clanger" gear mechanism on the seat tube.

In my youth, I wanted alloy components and tubs, so traded it in. Have regretted it since, but now of an age where my appetite for more bikes has declined.

Whoever takes them on will have a good ride.

I'm at the funeral tomorrow so I'll try and arrange for me to take a few photos of both bikes and put them on here. It might whet someone's appetite. I do know that my old work mate, Stan, kept them in 'road ready' condition and even the tyres were inflated when I saw them the other day. Those diadrant forks take some getting used to though 😳
