Two Garmin devices

Ive ordered a Garmin Edge Explore after much consideration.

I currently use my vivoactive 3 watch to log rides and my Garmin 800 so I can see data on the ride and as a back up if the watch doesn't sync for some reason

So in future I'll use the explore rather than the 800, but would Garmin connect know it's only one ride if I log on two devices?

you can easily delete one of them, or easier still only upload one of them

Yeh I can upload one and check before deleting on the watch


I'm guessing the devices don't store data correct? My 800 stores rides until I delete them
