I ride my bike and i have a car. I didn''t own a car for 20 years when i lived in Birmingham because A) i hated driving in the city and B) there was no need for a car as public transport was fantastic.

When i moved here, a car was and is needed, as the public transport system is god awful. I like driving here. The roads are good and are quiet. I do my shopping once a month to avoid having to drive 50 miles each week instead.

I also use my bike to go to the local shops instead of using my car, so this is a win win for me i think. ^_^

Have to agree with @User9609 , got loads of seats in my van, plenty for the whole family including grandchildren. I can carry umpteen bikes, all the shopping, 8 x 4 sheets, worktops etc etc and it's better on fuel than the car :okay:
