Have to say, having tried quite a few, I've never noticed any significant difference by any of those criteria, assuming the same size, so I tend to go for

e) Price

(having said which, I do always get ones with kevlar or similar)

Priorities are Speed, P' restistance, Grip with price and weight being minor considerations.

I am currently trying to trade off the first two and may move from GP 4000s to GP 4 Seasons.

Grip and puncture resistance with no knobbly bits along the centre. Panaracer Pasela was great on my Orange Clockwork but blew out on a bit of glass & not so good on little tracks so got something with a bit more substance.

Puncture resistence followed by price. Marathon Plus' are very dependable,no cause for complaints.They may be a little heavy but then so is my bike.

That said I'll be buying/fitting winter tyres this year, where 'grip' is clearly the issue.

puncture resistance for me.especially when I ride home at 10pm round the outskirts of Wythenshawe:
M+ have been faultless so far 1200+miles so will put up with the extra kg or so.
