apologies - I thought we have changed from the OP to someone else part way through... if it is faulty - bin it, but I though we were on a mini pump that was not decathlon... not feelng great so probably my mistake

Ive been caught a few times on faulty stuff ive kept only to have a "oh sh*te" moment later so i now bin it.

Following the recommendation from Malcermie I've just bought the Beto track pump from Rutland Leisure off Ebay.

Can't wait for it to come now, hopefully I can then get some proper air pressure in the tyres.

Loving this bike stuff collecting. Mrs OTD not too keen though! You need to have a bit of proper gear to do it right. Looked at the Top peak Joe Blow as recommended by some but even I thought I'd be using up too many brownie points if I'd gone for one of those! As long as I get some proper pressure in the tyres I'll be a happy chappy!

Thanks for the advice. The Decathlon bike mounted pump will be adequate as a get me home pump until finances allow me to get a good quality pump.
