Tyre pressure

How often should I check my tyre pressure? I commute about 6 miles a day, 5 dats a week. Should I check my tyres every day, every other day, once a week or whenever they feel soft?

I am using mtb slick tyres at 65 psi at the mo.

I always give my tyres the 'Thumb Test' each day before I leave home, but usually only need to add pressure about once a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pumped up my tyres last week - they had gone down by half a bar.
The bike is used most days, 10+ miles.
Last time I checked would have been mid summer, so several hundred miles and several months and no noticable fall in pressure
