Tyre/Wheel Sizes - OMG

Try as I might I can't find out what size my wheels are in ETRTO equivalent of 26x49/54 this size doesn't appear on any charts or tyre sizing websites anywhere, does anyone know please?

Seems an odd mix of imperial and metric

Assuming latter are mm it translates to 26“ x 1.9-2.1” which makes sense in terms of typical mtn bike tyre sizes used in UK from late 90s to mid 00s. I used tyres that size around that time.

The 26” mtn bike tyre size in UK is ETRTO 559.

Therefore I’d say you are looking for 49-559 to 54-559 in ETRTO.

Normally two tyre cross section sizes with a / between means one is width and the other height but I forget which is which.

This is different to tube sizes where the / denotes a range (because - is already used to divide bead seat diameter from cross section).

Are you trying to replace your wheels? Tell us where you found "26x49/54" and any other data there, and this will help us give you the best answer.
