Hi looking to get some new boots...

Gonna be riding sportives which involves lanes and shoot down in the west country....

Looking for speed and grip and less punctures the better...

Have used gator skins which seem to be ok

Any others rated hot...

I use Schwalbe Ultremo ZX HD almost exclusively.
Very, Very good.

Recently though I was tempted by some Specialized Turbo Ltd editions & wouldn't be averse to trying out Michelin Pro 4 Service Corse or Continental GP's either.

I use Continental GP 4000s and would recommend them, they roll well, have good grip & puncture protection. I also use the Continental Grand Prix GT tyres on another bike. They say they're aimed at the 'sportive rider' offering the reliability of Gatorskins but with the performance of GP4000s black chilli compound. I've only done 100 miles on them so far but no punctures yet!

Michelin pro4 endurance on the winter bike and michelin pro4 comp on the summer bike. Neither if these have had any punctures, but that may be down to the types of roads as much as anything else. The comps won't last that far though, but sure roll beautifully and are grippy too.

I have also tried Conti GP 4000s and actually have two brand new ones as stock from the last summer bike (I really ought to sell them) and Conti Four seasons. I personally prefer the Michelins, but understand other prefer the Conti's.

If I had to choose one tyre only to use all year around, it would be the Vredestein Fortezza Tricomp, great grip and puncture protection, light at 240g
Buy them here

If it was less important for puncture protection then it would be the Conti GP4000S in 25mm, OK puncture protection, great grip in all conditions and a great ride for comfort
