Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Those were just puns. The Yolk is the yellow part of an egg, and the 2nd was talking about shells.

You get quite a lot of punning on here, just have ti get used to it.

I feel a bit guilty now.

Bad punster.

How much do I have spend 70 notes to me ought to be enough to get a pair of tyres that are not dangerous.
I dont even know what a yolk is.

Yes it should. But if you are being scammed, it usually isn't. I assume you are talking about ebay. I do not understand why you would go to ebay instead of a reputable cycleshop.

I have gambled on bike mirrors, bags and saddles. But tyres are high up on the safety list.

I am responsible for five bikes, and I honestly can’t remember having a tyre fail other than worn out or perished. Tyre wall eggs iirc were something that happened In the 70s.

Such an important safety element, never mind the inconvenience of falling whilst riding there’s no way I’d risk anything other than fitting reputable brands. I think we have

Schwalbe
pirelli
Continental

All bought from the LBS or Sigma Sport on line.

I will be having an egg with my bacon sandwich in about an hour.

price is no guarantee, i ride cheap tyres that come via the post and never had an issue .

Same here have bought continental 5000 tyres at eye watering prices and had to use tempory tyre patch to cycle home slowly first time after fitting them, bought Perelli P zero tyres seemed great then found deep cuts and even cracking as if they where years old, so now just buy mid range tyres when i find them on sale.
Plus only buy tyres when i need them, not to keep as spares, when i do buy tyres i fit them to a bike that has not been used much and use the tyres on the little used bike to the more used bike.
Seems strange to me that i have a car trailer bought used about 20 years ago, only use a few times a year and tyres still seem great, Have bikes that i only use now and again and there tyres seem to deteriorate after a few years? My bike tyres seem to get tired?
