Tyres from a well known auction site with 'eggs' in them

I have bought 4 pairs of tyres of different types over the last 2 years, from 12 to 70 quid a pair, all have had an egg in them, from minor to downright dangerous, is this just a facet of mail ordering stuff?
I'd support a loacl shop if there was any that were not big box type stores.
Any recommendations for a 26" tyre 40 x 559 with all year road and semi off road bridal path tread?

Seems strange to me that i have a car trailer bought used about 20 years ago, only use a few times a year and tyres still seem great, Have bikes that i only use now and again and there tyres seem to deteriorate after a few years? My bike tyres seem to get tired?

You would be very strongly recommended to replace those tyres. Even with only teh weight of a trailer, if left standing in one spot for months at a time, they WILL have deteriorated significantly in 20 years.
