The band deafened the bland who ought to be banned from the brand.

Have any of these people ever been to a concert before? And have they ever read any of the T&Cs on their tickets? They do carry a warning..... I can only think of one show in the past twenty-odd years of gigging that wasn't loud enough to require ear plugs (my ears rang for a week after my first one- learnt my lesson and used plugs ever since). And she went though she had a perforated ear drum? FFS.....

It's the intensity of the flashing strobe lights that get me.... couldn't watch the stage while Goldfrapp were on a couple of weeks ago.
Songs from 'new' album [are they still called albums?] were worth it though.
We went to see The Wedding Present before Christmas at Shepherds Bush Empire - they lacked an oomph and weren't loud enough.
I honestly can't remember a headline act with that problem...

Genuine question - what is the point of going to a concert where the music is so loud that you have to wear earplugs? Aren't you there to hear the music?
(Honestly, I'm not trying to be funny or awkward, but I'm a classical music person myself, and the thought of wearing earplugs to a concert is, well, different...)

Earplugs don't mean you can't hear the music- just attenuate it to safe(r) levels. Many, many people have developed hearing problems from working or attending gigs and I'd rather not be one of them. And, well, some classical music is pretty loud, isn't it? Amps don't need to be involved- saw Kodo, the Japanese taiko troupe, in Poole a few weeks back, and they're as loud as anyone else I've seen, even before they got this little drum out....
