I want to upgrade my gruppo from Shimano Ultegra 10 to Ultegra 11. My wheel set can be used with either. Which components need to be upgraded? Do I have to change both front and rear derailleurs? Or can I just do the rear? If I do the front D, do I need a new crank?

Thanks in advance.

Rear derailleur, yes. The crankset will be fine with 11 speed. I don't think you'll need to change the front derailleur either.

If you go 6800 rather than R8000 you can mix and match but bear in mind 10 speed Shimano wheels tend not to be 11 speed capable unless you buy one of the R8000 series cassettes which can be expensive, cranksets are less of a problem, mechs chains and cassettes plus shifters will be your minimum changes.

I did mine in the January sales via wiggles eBay store, I’m still running a Shimano 5700 105 crankset and it does rub when cross chaining that’s next on the list.
