Quite a few years ago there was a suggestion (opinion piece in Cycling Weekly, I think) that AUK should take it over. Since then its popularity has recovered somewhat. Mersey Roads CC runs the only current regular one.

Maybe I'll attempt a record to fit as many cafe stops as possible into a one hour ride!

What you do Jamma is ride like hell for one minute check the distance covered and multiply this by sixty then see how close you are to the mileage in the S - Express post above it will save a lot of time and heart ache and save you money on another bike.

GWS pneumonia is serious stuff. You will quickly regain any lost fitness once you get mobile again but dont start training too soon.
