Unexpected emotional moment

My eldest son, his partner and their two children have given me 70 small parcels to open in the 70 days leading up to my 70th birthday. In actual fact it's 69 parcels with number 70 arriving on the day. Quite unexpected and I can't tell you how much it touched me.

Today was Number one:

My first thought: "That's a really nice surprise!"

My second thought: "Eh, @colly is nearly 70 - that can't be right...?"

My third thought: "Oh blimey, colly is a bit older than me and I'm nearly 66 - that IS right...!"

The brew will have gone cold by then! I suppose he could always warm it up in the microwave...

This thread can keep us busy for the next couple of months as the gifts are revealed, day by day. Let's hope that there aren't any embarrassing ones!
