Unknown Falcon - any ideas on age?

Picked this up a year or two ago and only just sorting it out. Maybe from the 70's - anybody know the model? 531 tubing but hate the saddle! Like the rake on the front forks though. Has 10 gears.

Didn't they do a model called black diamond or something.

Yes, I had a black diamond - mine was red funnily enough. It definitely wasn't 531, and mine at least, had drop bars

This has some fairly good components - Weinmann centre pull brakes for example and nice stainless steel mudguards. I'll try and take some better photos.

if its as original as it looks the hubs should be date stamped ie 12 84 , which is week and year . as should be the brake caliper castings
