TBF to @threebikesmcginty the joiners before they used cranes to erect roofs would maybe lift a few trusses up and lean them against the scaffold before putting them in place, not as a support for the roof though.

Scaffolding as part of the erection (oo'er) is a reasonably new method that's been adopted by some. It may or may not be being used in this job but it's a real method. I know this because I work in the timber engineering industry and I've seen it and I've reviewed the documents for a trade association.

Will you be going to the plywood exhibition at the V&A? Sounds really interesting. No, it really does.

I might if I'm that way, I like plywood!
