Some bloke was riding something similar to this in Derby yesterday! No picture, as I was driving, and that would make me even more of a nobber...

Probably taken during one of the old-style 6-day races, when someone from the team had to be on the track at all times.

Water Break……

Maurice Archambaud on the receiving end of a fans water dousing during a very warm Stage 11 of the 1933 TdF. Archambaud held the yellow jersey for 9 days at that years Tour, ultimately finishing 5th. During the course of his career, he was a perennial French National Team member, won Paris-Nice twice, set the hour record, claimed the 1935 Paris 6 day race, won Grand Prix des Nations, and finished with 10 Tour de France stage victories.
