As the title, I'm thinking of upgrading my aluminium road bike.
Question is what should I be thinking of upgrading first to see any benefits in weight or speed etc?
And of course the bling factor!

Spot on. "Fat Birds don't Fly". Less KG + better training = faster riding.
Then wheels/rubber together, no point in light wheels with rubbish rubber.
Frame, go lighter, groupset makes not a lot of difference in function, except higher end spec is usually a bit less grams.
And from what I hear, avoid Sram stuff for a while, Shimano works fine and Campag is more beautiful.
