upgrading to shifters and new brake levers

Quite often when you go from gripshift to trigger shifters you find you need a longer handlebar grip too. Depending on the size of your son's hands it might be worth thinking about.... I had grips with black tassles on at that age and thought they were the bee's knees!

ok, found the adjusters and thats that problem sorted, will be venturing to ebay to buy the recommended items along with longer grips.

** UPDATE **

bought on recommendation from the above link, now installed and the difference is night and day.... shifting gears and very good brakes very simple to install and adjust highly recommended.

have reviewed the bike on Halfords and given an honest assessment of the bike. also renewed his brake blocks.
