Honestly.........I have tried that. She hates flying. I got her to agree Menorca next June but she flat out refuses to fly in winter. I am looking for a Twixmas break in the lakes so that may work.

A few years ago we were on the overnight ferry from Holland to Hull. At 3.00 in the morning we were woken to be told there was a fire and they couldn't control it. We went to our muster points and were given life jackets......pitch black and thinking "this could be it". They did manage to get it under control but...................as you will realise, getting my wife on anything more than the Dover-Calais ferry is not possible

This but if she has I think you can't put books on someone else's as my son tried and ended up buying me the paper version. Kindles are great for reading, doing puzzles etc depending on which one it is and something that can be taken everywhere and used every day

Heard a story from a friend tonight. He says a mate of his gave his wife a very large empty box .......... after a few moments he told his puzzled wife "It's full of love for you"

I mentioned this to my wife. Her response was "Try it........"
