No - just thick, obviously!

I think a lot of them are taken from JPGs that have been resized clumsily and repeatedly hence the proliferation of jaggies and artefacts that make them look shopped. I'm fairly sure most or many of them are genuine - I've come across higher quality versions of some of them elsewhere.

I think my favourite was the "Honk for English" juxtaposed with "No Amnety".
