USA campsites POI files

When I rode across europe i took campsite and bike shops poi info in my garmin...i remember it was free to download and upload with a poi loader....does anybody know if such a poi file exists for the USA trans am route...?

I would check the adventure cyclist association section for the transam route. They certainly have touring maps with overnight stops marked on them but you have to buy them...
