I use about a 3 inch length off a 23mm tyre and have it on my Blackburn Airstick pump. I roll it over the stem and the handle, which as the handle points downwards it stops the annoying habit of the handle becoming unlocked, slipping downwards and hitting the pedals. I plan on fitting a longer length one day and completely cover the handle to stop the ingress of water which I think ruined my last airstick.

You might have seen me grumbling on another thread (which one ;) ) that my glue in the p'ture repair kit always seems to get damaged despite being unopened; following on from one of the hints I might put the glue tube inside an old inner tube (or is that tempting fate  )

Im planning on cutting a 2 inch length and cable tieing it to my bike pump thats fixed to my seatube. Will have to jiggle it a bit so that it covers the open end where the valve goes in so it prevents anything going in, but still easy enough to roll back when needed.
