Got to agree that it was a great route - definitely going to ride it again, just in better weather next time!



PS - have you seen the price of the official photos??

Yes, so it's just as well I look (because I am) fat and stupid on them all :/
Also they weren't taken in the best looking locations imho

Lovely fast route, but the incessant rain kind of took the edge off the day a little. If it had been a nice spring morning it would have been a perfect ride. There was a little bit where you climbed up past a church and then onto a longer climb (Birdsall?) where I really felt the pain - it wasn't even a steep hill, but it was into the wind and it was just about at that point when I started to run out of energy. But was good to get the miles in and got around the Standard course in a solid 4hrs 20mins so happy enough!

yep I suffered at Birdsall......but finished nice and strong so was happy
