I tell Mr SL I love him every day and he tells me the same
He appreciates me cooking, cleaning and generally keeping the house ticking over, and likewise, I appreciate him fixing things and driving me about when I need it.
We exchange cards and I usually get some nice flowers. I'll cook us a meal and we'll watch a dvd together.
For me that is perfect

I've been buying chocolates from Kennedys of Orton for the past five or six years. None of the recipients of Kennedys' fine products have ever refused a second box.

They do heart shaped boxes too.

So they do.

The mean adopted Yorkshire woman in me notices that 24 spaces in a heart shaped box cost £22, whereas 24 in a normal box cost £17.50...

If I give it a week, I can probably find a heart shaped box at work. Then I only need the chocs!

Valentine's Day, what's that?!

As a singleton whose been single all his life, Valentine's Day never has been a thing in my life, very 'meh'. I brace myself for the inevitable "I love you so much" statuses on Facebook tomorrow... If I weren't single, I'd probably be a bit more into it and make the effort to embrace the spirit of it and do something nice for and with my significant other.

Mrs 3BM gave me this tasteful gift - it's a Mr Tea mug and when you put your hand through the handle it looks like you're wearing gold sovereign rings.

Never heard of him (?), looks interesting though. I'll try to get hold of an album or two to have a better listen!

Blue Corpse is a good-enough starting point (there's a lot of albums). Unusually this particular one is available in full on YouTube.

Generally the material is only available mail order from the US, but prices are very reasonable and there's discounts for bulk buying!

I got told yesterday that if I wanted a box of chocolates that I would need to buy my own when I cycled over to my parents' home yesterday (the local health food shop sells my favourite dairy free chocs I'm allergic to dairy so getting them can be difficult). Who says romance is dead? I even let him do the weekly shop by himself last weekend so that he could buy them in the supermarket.

The card off him today was...

(and yes that is his road bike in the background waiting for me to repair it - waiting on parts to be delivered by the postie today so I can fix it in time for the weekend!)
