Oh 5 litres of Castrol, what a wonderful present that would make.
I'm sure there's a woman somewhere who adores the scent of hot oil, coal smoke and steam!

No problem, if you need any more feminine insights... er, you better find a girly girl to ask.
I once got a card, on or around Valentine's Day (before I knew NT), with a pic similar to this on it.

Most women might be offended by a card featuring an elephant and the back end of a bus, but I loved it.
Done that! Gave a 5 lt tin of some very expensive engine oil as part of a Christmas present.Oh 5 litres of Castrol, what a wonderful present that would make.

Just got an email from one of the local supermarkets advertising "Play the road to love - our ideas for presents"
There are 3;
1. Thompson LED television 299€
2. Champagne Brut Montaudon Millesime 2006 19.45€
3. Push-up bra 13€
Who on earth came up with that list?
We work with someone who expects to receive roses from her husband on Valentines Day. At Christmas he is given a list.... if she doesn't get what she wants she makes his life a misery so he buys her what she wants just for a quiet life. Yes he is spineless

Oh yes, absolutely. Load of rubbish.
I guess some people like to have a specific day to reaffirm their relationship, and fair enough for them, as long as they both feel the same and one person doesn't feel pressured into anything. Personally, I'd rather we went out another night when it's less crowded and probably cheaper!

Well yes.
Me!
