I always do something nice, usually involves the kids these days.

i've opted for some Opera tickets that my wife has hinted for.. This opera is not my thing, but she would love it. Only problem is finding a baby sitter

Opera............... O.o - I feel bad for you. My girlfriend had me go along to the Lion King at the Palace Theatre the other week, was pretty good actually, they murdered some of the songs though. If I am ever forced to go to an opera, I will exact my revenge by demanding she accompanies me to a Converge (very noisy hardcore band) gig!

I'm not fussed either way re. Valentines day. At least we get to eat a nice Sushi dinner at our shared favourite restaurant.

Lullabelle and I have a nice meal and a bottle of wine on The V day normally, not that we're in anyway sold on the day, just that, any excuse for me to go overboard in the kitchen, then both hit the red wine.

Valentines also sits right in the middle of the Leicester Comedy festival, so we're off to see Lee Ridley the night before, and have three more gigs (including Barry Crier ffs) in the week after, so it gets washed away in the middle if something much more important to us,

We will ignore it. Arch is special to me all year round and 'special days' are every day for me.
We are out at the weekend just after, to see a friend's album launch gig, it will be something else nice to do instead of rebuilding bits of the house.

xx( as my kids would go when they see kissing on TV .

never liked it, was always another reason for the bullies in school to have a pop - Ha u got no cards . ur mum sent u a card.

even when we were just going out with each other we never did anything . not even cards . I used to hate it when i was working away as restaurant prices went sky high for that day.

Spot on Arch! I remember, many many moons ago, having a fit about garage flowers on my birthday :girl:
I have never bought the OH flowers. I just don't see the point in buying her something that is dead and going to decay in a few days (unless she about to eat it).

How about an ornamental cabbage then?

An ornamental cabbage by any other name would smell as sweet...

Is the date for steak & blowjob day negotiable, I'm away with work on this date and the colleague I'm away with has teeth that could be described as "Black n Decker Pecker Wreckers" so I don't really wanna put mine in there!

I reckon it should be negotiable if the alternative is your colleagues pecker wreaker teath

Normal day also in the P-M household. I'm a V Day hater on the same basis as many (if you love someone you are entitled to tell them, do nice things throughout the year not just on one day).. Although after continually expressing my dislike for the day and normally not bothering last year Mr M spent ridiculous pennies on god knows how many dozens of roses. . . and Yes i did feel a bit guilty as I had nothing to give as it wasn't his birthday  !!!
