Valuation needed on touring 531 bike

Hi all, got a 80s tourer 10 speed,24 in frame.all original,needs tidying up,if someone could value it for me I'd appreciate it,many thanks.

I know very little about this market but would guess at £50, £100 if you're lucky.

I always look at the dropouts. These are stamped steel, not cast, so not prestige or high end but a good rideable bike.

@avfc1982 that looks tidy enough shame it's not a bit better equipped but for what looks like a bought in Reynolds 531 main tube frame then kitted out by Scotts cycle shop and shop decals added although not a shop i have heard off so could be wrong.

I would guess late 70's early 80's but check for date codes on hubs and calipers will give you a better idea.

What do yuo know of its previous life ?

Value wise i would agree re £50 - 100 on a good day .

Hi biggs,based in Brum,don't know it's history except 80s bike,will check hubs later,the shop where it was made is quite local to me but don't think it's there anymore.

80's sounds right as does the shop not being around any more saddly
