Yup - but they haven't nullified his results for the period after the Italian ban - which is illogical, because if they are saying that the Italian ban was correct then he should not have been racing during that period... oh, well... the UCI may still strip him of some results and he definitely is no longet considered to be the No.1 ranked rider.

Valverde's statement said the court agreed that "none of the victories were obtained through use of prohibited practices, which is confirmed because Alejandro Valverde, possibly the most controlled the athlete in the world, has never failed a doping test."

I thought that LA was the most tested - I think we should be told!

McQuaid has said that he's glad there is no statute of limitations and no rider can feel safe as it may come back to haunt him and goes on to say that we should move on now and not rake over the past including Landis' accusations.
He really is a hypocritical fool.

Well, there are probably more than just riders who risk skeletons falling out of cupboards if all the facts of the Landis case are uncovered.

You can't have the wonderful Ingerlund team depleted through drug scandals. Too much money, too much influence.

FTFY. The England team play with odd-shaped balls....

Banned until end of 2011 - 18 months. Surely not long enough ......

Still Cadel will be pleased .
Can't understand why those found guilty of doping don't receive a lifetime ban.

Might make (some of) them think twice ....
