The iwoc controller is interesting - it seems you have cycle through 0 - 1 2 3 levels. Going up the levels not a problem - but going into 0 (off) from 3 to get to level 1 - you suddenly feel the weight of the bike and level 1 can't kick in quick enough.

Yes changing modes on the fly is really annoying with the iWoc. Does the BC900 not change modes? I would have thought most of these cheapish wireless cycle computers bundled with X35 bikes would allow this. Have you tried all the buttons?

My Gain is the D40 which wasn't fancy enough to come with the Pulsar One. Instead it came with the Orbea OC computer which is a rebadged "Coachsmart". The left and right buttons by default are assist up and down and it works great. Much easier to move your hand to the stem where I keep it than down on the top tube, and you can see if it's changed to the right mode.

The Coachsmart seems to be rebadged by all manner of brands. I've even just seen a Magura branded one on sale for £20 at Winstanleys. Now I'm not guaranteeing this has the functionality to change assist level. It's conceivable that Orbea procured a tweaked firmware for their branded models, but it would surprise me. It might be worth a punt if your BC900 can't do it (which would also surprise me)
