During my time in Germany last month I treated myself to a wonderful Vaude cycling jacket in red. It's waterproof, breatheable, reasonably lightweight, has a pocket at the back and two at the front, side vents (zippable) and is overall lovely. It also has a hood which has a very decent peak to keep the rain out of one's face.
Unfortunately it's not a good design for a recumbent as the flaps for the pockets channel the water into them, and into the underarm vents, when one is lying in a deckchair-like position. My first ride with it was during a colossal rainstorm and it let water in at the side vents. This would not be a problem at all on a normal bike or when standing horizontally.
The picture below shows the jacket:
I really like Vaude stuff (my panniers are Vaude and have been excellent) and this is a very nice jacket in men's XL. It fits me (a lardy woman) well and has good long arms also.
I paid 100 Euro for the jacket and have worn it twice. If anyone fancies it, and wants to make me an offer, send me a PM.
