That's 3 times more than the camera cost me.
fullwit said:I just received a new Veho muvi cam with the 2Gb Sd card. set it to record and it filled up the 2GB, i then thought to remove the files.
The 2gb is still full ?? after i removed the files ( via mac ) to the trash can and the green light remains permanently on indicating a full card. ,
Does anybody know how to clear the Sd card.
The info for the drive still presents "used" as 2GB which indicates that the card remains full, but as i look in the files they are empty ?
Confused ?? can anyone offer advice to clear this.
Thanks from a pc numpty.
I think the reason its cheaper perhaps is because a new version has come out.HJ said:I see that they are offering the Veho Muvi for £59.99.

In my opinion the clone is better, despite the always visible date and not too great build quality because it has a higher frame rate 30 fps instead of the lower 20fps of the Muvi. The build quality of the waterproof case for the Muvi is also very poor, I have broken two of them just by the simple action of closing them, now I use velcro to securely close them.
I have recently started using so called "spy" sunglasses with 3.2 Mega pixel camera, 30 fps and 1280x960 resolution, Just £30 from a UK based Chinese seller on EBay. Better quality recordings and obviously no outward sign I have a camcorder recording what I see, great for catching bad car drivers. The only disadvantage I have thought of so far is they are not waterproof.

swindoom said:From what I have read, the only way to remove it is to take it apart and re-flash it, blanking out the font used to display the time.

The early ones are the Veho Muvi, last one is dated March 2nd, except the two night time in car videos, they were shot with a full HD camcorder.
The "spy" sunglassess, the ones marked HD.

The cheap MD80 clone:-

Note: the in car videos are not as great as they could be probably to the window tint.
I did a direct comparison, wearing the Muvi and clone on the same ride and the clone was alot better, unfortunately I did not save any of the evidence. The only use I have for the Muvi now is when it rains as it fits the Veho waterproof cases I have, the MD80 is too big, one day I might attempt to make it fit.
Now I tend to use the clone as a rear facing camera strapped to my helmet and obviously the "spy" glasses to record what I can see.

Some guys have taken it apart and found that it contains flash memory that controls the camera. It has to be unsoldered to gain access to the flash memory and the process seems a little heavy duty just to remove the date/time.
This site has lots of info on it and links to the site where they took it apart.
