Velomaps to ipad mini 2

Has anyone managed to download any velomaps onto their iPad mini 2? Already got them on the Garmin but would like a broader view sometimes. Is it possible?

the best mapping for cycling by 1000% for iPhone and iPad is Pocket Earth. for about £3 you can download detailed maps of just about anywhere and the cycle overlay very clearly shows bike routes in EU. Last year we easily navigated to Prague and back with just an iPhone. It will also route so planning is easy.
