Looks like the http://veloviewer.com/ service is going from Free to Subscription.

Can't say I blame the site owners, running off donations only.

Surprised they can't use in page ads to get some revenue that way.

As much as I like Veloviewer, it's really not essential and I'm not prepared to pay for a bit more data than Strava provides. I've revoked the Veloviewer access to my strava account and cleared my data.

It actually analyses your data far better than strava does, all strava is really good for is to see if you improve on segment times, nothing else.

However I am not sure I can afford the payment, and from what I read, they will be deleting your older data even when you make a payment in the future it will be lost, as far as I can make out, my data base gives me most of the data apart from segments and charts over a ride, but I can get them else where, segments I am not so bothered about these days as I have done the local ones to death and it takes quite an effort to get a p.b. on any of them.

Just having a good look at VeloViewer again. Not really looked at their mapping of each individual segment much, but I am impressed with how they colour code the sections of each segment to show the gradient. Interesting.

Unfortunately Ben, My score is only 87.82. Few more sprints over Loughor bridge are required!

I'm surprised he hasn't done what Racepace did and flog the site to Strava, I'm sure most users would love the extra features, and I'm sure he'd make a pretty penny out f it too. I suspect he's already had interest of some sort from them, and perhaps now they've had another injection of VC capital they might make a better offer...
