Reynolds tubing, Weinmann centrepulls and Suntour derailleurs: unchanged spec since the day it was bought I suspect
Very nice!
The owner was dead easy to clock inside the shop. The bike was older than her.

Very trusting owner, head light and rear light still in place and very small cable lock which doesn't look as if would be much use if someone tried to steal the bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully advice on at least looping the lock (such as it is) through the frame rather than over the frame and through a QR front wheel.

That front light must be at least 35 years old. Wonder if it is still on the original set of batteries ?

The owner could do with locking it properly and with a decent D-lock.

probably dates from when Claud Butler was part of the Holdsworth empire.

Absolutely. Very early 80s I'd wager. Zillions on my A24 commuting run back then. Just add green Karrimor panniers... I like the Mixte frame, has a certain elegance. In this age of retro and the steel-tube revival, I wonder if anybody will make them again?

Beautiful bike.

I'd like something like that as a pub/shopping bike.

And I think I spotted theclaud in Arrivee recently. Hope you don't mind me mentioning this theclaud, apologies if you do.

I used to have one of those front lights must have been 25 to 30 years ago. Two D cell batteries weighed a ton:smile:

+1, and you'd be lucky to get more than an couple of hours out of them - in the days before Duracells. (weren't they made by Ever Ready)
