My son Lance who was 4 in June rode his bike for the first time without Stabilizers!!!!
I promised him a new bike if he could.
He just got on said push me daddy and he was off!
he had a bit of trouble turning but got the hang of it in the end!

;):becool:

So now need to decide if we go for an 18" bike or get the isla bike with 20" wheels as he just falls into the height for this.
Anyone with any experience of this size bike?

congrats to him!

I have experience of a bike with 20" wheels, but it wasn't very good as I have 36" legs ;)

Oh jolly good. I've got about 18 months to wait until I can get my nephew his first Likeabike...

No experience, but I've never heard a word against Islabikes...

My boy was 4 when we visited Islabikes. I'd reckoned, given the guide on the website, that he'd fit a Beinn 20. It was far to big for him. He was only just big enough for the Cnoc 16, which we got for him, and which is fantastic.

The only problem is, in 5 months I've had to raise the saddles by over 2 inches, and am wondering how much more use we're going to get out of the thing.

Cheers
that's what I'm worried about
I guess it's a 16" or 18" so not to knock his newfound skills.

We started him off when he was 1 with a wooden 2 wheeled scoot along with no pedals.
He loved it and still plays on it now.
