What I'd like to know is, how come this riders video is silky smooth, whilst me helmet camera is twice as shakey when I'm riding on smooth roads? Even youtubes anti-shake fix doesn't get it that good!

Well that guy is wearing a full face helmet. So you can see the camera isn't shaking relative to the helmet apart from a few times in the video. Mount pretty solid, and having a full face jobby stops it moving around like a cycle helmet.

My footage gets gradually more shaky, until I tighten up my helmet again. That's where most of my shakiness comes from, the helmet moving about on my head.

What camera are you using?

A £100 hd sports cam. It's o.k. in good light, but poor in the dark. Very lightweight though.
