If the attacker has no previous he'll more than likely just be fined and bound over to keep the peace, his DNA will be taken and kept on record though. Worth taking out a civil action for Trespass to the person, get some money out of the bloke.

I imagine it's a form of words for a conditional discharge, ie if you're brought to their attention again, your former offences are dealt with afresh

Binding over doesn't get you a criminal record, but if you don't keep the Queen's Peace you can be in Contempt of Court and face a prison term.

s.39 ABH and s.18/20 GBH are dealt with differently as they are more serious.

Common Assault and Battery is an old offence - definition is more than mild discomfort with no permanent marks. £60-80 fine usually plus costs and compo the the injured party.

It would seem so - though its difficult to be certain from the video but according to some reports he does share names with the man arrested, and comes from the same area.

If you freeze frame the video, and go 1080p full screen, it's a very close likeness. Well, the video guy's face looks the same as the website farrier guy, just fatter and older.
