Tipper truck was wrong. But being right wouldn't have helped the cyclist if he'd been hit.
Bike or car - it had that "I'm pulling out out anyway" look to it.

You are right. Cyclists should all just stay away from tipper trucks. In fact when I see one in London, I stop and wait. The trouble is that it now takes me 4 hours to cycle to work.

You seem to be interpreting my post wrongly.
Never said anything about waiting for every tipper truck did I? Where? That truck would have had my spidey sense tingling, even if I'd been in the car and not on a bike.
