I saw Vinnie Jones play at Bramall Lane many times. Not the most skillful of players, but he gaves his all in effort.
I remember going to an away match at Man City and he got booked for a foul within 5 seconds of the start of the game!

Was that before he set the record at 3 seconds? Or was he trying to beat it?

Now 'clever' is not necessarily the first word that springs to mind when you're talking about Mr Jones...but I'm reminded of Richard Pryor's dig at people who took Leon Spinks to task for saying things that weren't particularly enlightened, pointing out that thinking didn't really rank high in his job description.
