Vintage Mongoose Hilltopper project

Hi folks. I just acquired this mid 90s Mongoose Hilltopper very cheap. The 4130 chromoly frame is beautiful. I will be replacing the group set with probably a 1 x 9 and a few other parts. A decent winter project for me.

We often hear the term 'minter' to describe bikes, but yours certainly deserves that adjective

A Mongoose Hilltopper was my first mountain bike. Must have purchased it around 1990 or 91. Was same colour as yours. I think it went to the tip when i had finished with it as welll used. I loved that bike and great project.
