I've got a cold for the first time since April and have had a relatively bug free year. What's the norm for you?

I'm pretty bug free - two or three colds a year, and very little else.

There, now, that's gone and said it. Expect to get the plague tomorrow.

When I used to get the train to work I was very regulary bunged up with colds and sniffles - at a guess around 5-6 times a year.

Since starting to cycle in 18 months ago Ive had nothing whatsoever.

Hardly ever. However I suspect those days are coming to an end, and it will get more common as the little one grows up and interacts more with other kids...

Typically I get two or three colds a year, but last year I had a record of six colds and the flu. This year so far, I've had three colds, expecting another two at least between now and christmas, I've also suffered with an eye infection and toothache (x2).

1 or 2 colds per year normally with the odd case of 'Man Flu' every 2 or 3 years.
Had a nasty bladder infection earlier this year that really knocked me back, had to have 3 days off work!!

When Oli was little, it seemed like every visit of mine coincided with him having an ear infection or a cold. I even suggested special medicine for him - auntiebiotics...

Usually one cold a year but dont remember having one last year. If i do get a cold, i always believe it's got to come out before it can get better, I'm not one for Contact 400s...i find the cold just sits in you for longer.
Flu ?...maybe had it 2 or 3 times in my life.

Normally a cold about once every twelve to eighteen months. But its been a bad year this year, I've had two colds and a bad stomach upset that was probably norovirus, we think the misses picked it up at the local hospital, then it went through the family.

Touch wood, only one in the last six years.

The twenty years prior to that I was a driving instructor and got about three a year, which leads me to think that most cases are work related. The more people you come into contact with on a daily basis the more you are at risk, and train and bus commuters must get a fair few more than the average. I did hear once that the worst job to have for contacting colds and flu was a school bus driver, shut into a vehicle with condensation running down the windows and virulent teenage germs running amok.
