Evening all.
The 'get fit' (Well.......'fitter') programme has been going on for 4 months now. I've recently "upgraded" the 1st road-bike i bought to pound out some miles; for a Giant TCR composite - which is great for weekend speed-runs - but hankered after something else.......
So at the weekend - and after reading rave reviews - i hunted and tracked down a Voodoo Hoodoo MTB 40 miles or so away. Notes were exchanged and home it came.
First ride out - dissapointment. Not sure why - handling, feel, road noise (Yes i did do some gentle tracks / off-road).....yes all of those.
So: I bought myself some of these:
Slapped them on tonight, and went for a spin around my home-town for an hour (Lowestoft in Suffolk, and Britain's most Easterly town)) to see the place from a different perspective.
And WOW ! The bike was a real bundle of laughs. I felt a proper "tarmac terrorist", and was beaming from ear to ear the whole time. I think i've found IT. And i'snt that exactly what an hour on the bike after work to unwind should be all about..........
