Vitamin D (when I remember) as pretty much everyone needs it in winter especially.

3 monthly B12 injections cos I’ve been diagnosed as deficient (have been for years looking at past bloods, indeed several years before I stopped eating meat but the GP didn’t think to mention until a specialist queried why I wasn’t been treated).

D3/K2 after discovering my levels were 17 when the normal range is 50-200 (so lets say aim for 100) - paid for a private test after breaking my pelvis from a 'small slip on ice'. - Subsequent bone scans showed my bone density was good for my age. GP not interested at all.

Turmeric for fighting inflamation
Magnesium = benefits for muscle recovery and restless legs
Iron - just started these
Beetroot Extract - nitrates, good for blood oxygen transport and lowering blood pressure - proven in athletic studies to be beneficial

All bar beetroot are from Nutrition Geeks as it's easy to remember to order and value is good.

Multi with minerals
Iron
C with something

Every other day or so.

D spray most days September to March.

Yeast flakes (B12?) most days.

Just trying to cover gaps in my diet, mostly vegan because of better half, while I have the odd egg; tinned sardines; pork pie etc.

Omega 3 because I don't like fish
B12 because I'm just a social/party meat eater
D because I listen to too many podcasts (although curiously, I'm generally enjoying the outdoors when I'm consuming them)
I'm hearing some good stuff about creatine. Anyone got any gains?

Vit D as instructed by doctor.

Considering taking magnesium on an "it can't hurt" basis.

I've always been of the opinion that they are mostly ineffective but harmless as long as you don't take mega doses. I'm beginning to feel the lure of the placebo.

Calcium with vitamin D on doctors orders because I've a bone density issue in my crumbling hip and one medication I'm on can lower calcium levels in some patients.

B7 as my nails can be a bit brittle. Supposed to be good for hair too although it didnt stop me going bald.

Natural EPO! Nah, seriously, as you say, has been shown to have the same sort of benefits (increasing oxygen levels in the blood) Apparantly, it's from the (digestive) saliva produced as a response to the beetroot rather than the beetroot itself.

I also take tumeric (a sprinkling on my home made muesli, with a grind of black pepper because that apparently helps unlock the anti-inflammatory properties in tumeric, or more specifically tumeric's principal component, circumin)

And good old-fashioned cod liver oil.

I make beetroot juice in my juicer (actually beetroot mixed in with other stuff like oranges & apples, I find it a bit overpowering on its own). I have done for years but I've never thought of it as a supplement. I just like it.

My previous doc (now retired) used to always prescribe it. He was a great believer in it.

Current doc is of the new school, all book knowledge with experience yet to come. She's lovely as but spends more time looking at her computer than at the patient (or maybe it's just me she does that to)
