They only merged a few months ago and IIRC were going to take several months over the rollout.

Fancy way of saying I don't know. I kind of doubt that it will be available to everyone, everywhere (ha ha I made a joke)

They still are as are the ambo's and most of the governments wider emergency comms are also with Vodafone.

The new Airwaves police radio replacement is a mobile phone based radio system, so when the network goes down so will the dibble.

Last I heard Vodafone had the contract, which is worrying. Doubly worrying is that the EMS do not have contractual priority so it the system suffers capacity issues the dibble aren't having their own access protected or ring fenced.

To clarify on my previous statement: I meant NOT very intelligent putting most / all of a Police forces reliance on phones - on one single supplier…….
