I stopped outside Waitrose to grab some of their WIFI. Phew, Vodafone was the top trending subject. That's a relief, didn't have to phone Vodafone as their customer service is awful!
All fixed now.

Three gives the usual strong signal here.

Three are advertising that their customers can access the Vodafone network, not sure if the reciprocal is true. I’m a very long term Vodafone customer and haven’t heard about it.

Apparently the roll out of using Three’s network has begun, but will take 8 years to complete.

When things like that happens I think back to when I was in a large IT department

and the chaos and panic when the main system went down

Gods - it was bad enough when the Call Centre system went down - I waspart of the team that supported that so any serious probelsm and I was in the middle of it

some people at Vodaphone will have had a bad day - and probably looking forward to a bad night mopping up the problems we don;t see!


and no - it was never my fault

and mentions of me leaning back onmy chair and crashing the whole system were never proved
and the bloke that knows everything I know sadly died young so he can;t give evidence
and it was weird anyway

and I certainly never implemented a dud program that caused chaos often

This was triggered by a non-malicious software issue with one of our vendor partners which has now been resolved, and the network has fully recovered

1) It wasn't a cyber attack
2) We have found someone to blame
