Zubrowka a Polish vodka favoured with bison grass. Delicious out of the freezer, or mixed with cloudy apple juice.
I have to agree with Monty here. Vodka's vodka imho and you can't taste the difference unless maybe drinking it neat but why would you want to drink vodka without a mixer?
A good pointer for Vod is if it turns oily when it's been in the freezer overnight, not frosty. So that discounts Vladivar, smirnoff and most of the supermarket branded stuff.
Anything distilled in the UK imho.So what doesn't it discount comrade?![]()
This thread is going to get me in trouble I have a half drunk bottle of Belvedere in the freezer, which is tempting.
Anything distilled in the UK imho.
Was nice and oily last time I had a shot of it. Another Polish number iirc.Spelling correction...but is it that oily stuff?![]()
thomas: I'm loving "GIN-cident". I'm a bit of a gin drinker, and you can be pretty sure I'm gonna be nicking that word as using it like it's my own genius. (I don't know, newbies coming in here and stealing stealing stealing...)
A friend once told me that his brother in law drove tankers for a living and use to deliver to one of the british brands mention earlier. He said it was made by mixing one tanker of distilled water and one of absolute alcohol. Don't know if it's true but it would explain a lot.Anything distilled in the UK imho.
